  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk whole milk or substitute with almond or oat milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for serving
  • Fresh berries

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Grease the baking dish with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Step 2: Cut the French bread into 1-inch cubes and place them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread cubes, ensuring every piece is soaked. Use a spatula to gently press down on the bread.
