- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Step 2: Take four slices of bread and spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on each slice. Top with the remaining four slices to create sandwiches.
- Step 3: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and ground cinnamon until well blended.
- Step 4: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add the butter. Allow it to melt completely.
- Step 5: Carefully dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
- Step 6: Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Step 7: Remove the French toast from the skillet and serve warm with maple syrup and fresh berries if desired.
