Ingredients

For the Pure Pressed Cranberry Juice
  • 4 cups fresh cranberries
  • 4 cups water
  • Sweetener to taste (optional)

Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Fine-mesh Strainer or Cheesecloth
  • Large bowl or pitcher
  • Wooden spoon or potato masher
  • Measuring Cups
  • Serving Glasses

Method

  1. Step 1: Rinse the fresh cranberries thoroughly under cold water. This step is essential to remove any dirt or impurities that may be present.
  2. Step 2: In a large pot, combine the rinsed cranberries and 4 cups of water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Step 3: Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  4. Step 4: After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Step 5: Using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the mixture into a large bowl or pitcher.
  6. Step 6: If desired, add sweetener to taste, stirring until completely dissolved.
  7. Step 7: Serve your Pure Pressed Cranberry Juice chilled or over ice.

Notes

Store any leftover juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can also freeze it in ice cube trays for later use in smoothies or cocktails!
