Method
- Step 1: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using) to create a flavorful marinade.
- Step 2: Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, coating each piece evenly. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
- Step 3: Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Step 4: Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Grill or cook the chicken for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Step 5: During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the sesame seeds over the chicken to toast them slightly.
- Step 6: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. This helps the juices redistribute within the meat.
- Step 7: After resting, slice the chicken breasts into strips and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious flavors!
Notes
