- Step 1: Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes, until al dente. It’s essential not to overcook the pasta.
- Step 2: Once cooked, drain the macaroni using a colander and rinse it under cold water. Set the macaroni aside to cool completely.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced ham, chopped dill pickles, finely chopped red onion, and diced celery.
- Step 4: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.
