Method
- Step 1: Preheat the campfire or grill. Before you start preparing your banana boats, make sure your campfire is roaring or your grill is heated up.
- Step 2: Slice the bananas. Take each ripe banana and slice it lengthwise, making sure to leave the peel on.
- Step 3: Open the banana. Carefully use your fingers to gently open the banana along the cut to create a pocket.
- Step 4: Stuff the bananas. Stuff the opened banana pocket with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.
- Step 5: Add the crunch. Sprinkle the crushed graham crackers on top of the marshmallows and chocolate.
- Step 6: Wrap each banana. Take a piece of aluminum foil and securely wrap the stuffed banana.
- Step 7: Cook over the heat. Place the wrapped bananas over the campfire or on the grill and let them cook for about 5-10 minutes.
- Step 8: Unwrap and serve. Once the bananas are done cooking, carefully unwrap the foil and serve the warm banana boats.
Notes
Monitor the cooking time closely to avoid mushy bananas. Enjoy the incredible aroma that fills the air as the marshmallows toast and the chocolate melts.
