- Step 1: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Using a spatula, break it apart as it cooks. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Make sure to drain any excess fat.
- Step 2: After browning the beef, sprinkle the taco seasoning over it and add water as per the packet instructions. Allow it to simmer until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, black beans, corn, diced red onion, and shredded cheese. Toss gently to mix.
- Step 4: Once the beef mixture has cooled slightly, add it to the large bowl with the salad ingredients.
- Step 5: Open the bag of Doritos and crush them slightly. Fold the crushed Doritos into the salad mixture just before serving.
- Step 6: In a small mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and salsa. Stir well to mix.
- Step 7: Drizzle the sour cream and salsa mixture over the salad or serve it on the side.
Notes
For the best flavor, allow the salad to sit for about 10 minutes before serving. This gives the flavors a chance to meld together.
