- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the diced potatoes. Cook them until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, heavy cream, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, sliced green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well until fully incorporated.
- Step 4: Gently fold the cooked potatoes into the cream mixture.
- Step 5: Pour the potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Step 6: In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter until well-coated.
- Step 7: Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the potato bake.
- Step 8: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Step 9: Allow to cool slightly before serving.
