Ingredients
  

For the Concentrated Homemade Cranberry Juice
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 to 1.5 cups granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice optional for added flavor

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Rinse the cranberries thoroughly under cold water.
  2. Step 2: In a large pot, combine the rinsed cranberries and 4 cups of water. Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Step 3: Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Step 4: After simmering, remove the pot from heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
  5. Step 5: Using a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth, strain the mixture into a large bowl.
  6. Step 6: Return the strained juice to the pot and add your sugar. Heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
  7. Step 7: If desired, stir in lemon juice for added flavor.
  8. Step 8: Allow the juice to cool completely before transferring it to bottles or jars for storage.
  9. Step 9: Your juice can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

For a flavor boost, try adding spices such as cinnamon or ginger during the simmering step. You can also blend cranberries with other fruits for unique variations.
