- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, add the cubed French bread.
- Step 4: In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Step 5: Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Step 6: In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, and melted butter to make the streusel topping.
- Step 7: Transfer the soaked bread mixture into the greased baking dish and sprinkle the streusel on top.
- Step 8: Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Step 9: Allow to cool slightly before serving.
