Ingredients

For the Beef Mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickles chopped
  • 8 small taco shells
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Cooking Spoon
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Chopping Board
  • Knife
  • Serving Platter
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Make sure to drain any excess fat to keep your tacos from becoming greasy.
  2. Step 2: Once the beef is browned, add the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, mustard, and ketchup. Stir everything together until well combined and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Step 3: While the beef is finishing up, warm the taco shells according to the package instructions.
  4. Step 4: Start by taking a warmed taco shell and adding a generous portion of the beef mixture to the bottom. Be mindful not to overfill them.
  5. Step 5: Top the beef with a handful of shredded lettuce, a scoop of diced tomatoes, a sprinkling of shredded cheddar cheese, and a few chopped pickles.
  6. Step 6: Finally, drizzle a good amount of Thousand Island dressing over the top of each taco.
  7. Step 7: Serve your Big Mac Tacos immediately while they’re warm and fresh.

Notes

Assembling your tacos can be a fun activity, especially when done in groups. Encourage your guests to build their own tacos, customizing with their favorite toppings!
